Hip Hop DAS class major project

In my class DAS we have a major project due...tomorrow actually. :) So I have made my project about my hip hop dance class. So here is the youtube video I have made as my final form of the project.

How to be a Ninja

It's a rather random question, but I'm surprised at how often I end up being asked: Who's cooler? Pirate or Ninja?


My answer is always pirate, but then I checked out a YouTube video by Ryan and Sean. I think I'll have to change my answer to ninja. Check out this video, and you'll se why. >.<

Doodling Drama

Okay just so you know, my real name isn't Brooke... that's my pen name. Brooke Hale. -No I did not realize that my last name was the same from the Twilight series Jasper and Rosalie characters okay? I made it up, read the book, and didn't realize they were the same until a month later in the car! So there.


Okay well... Why did I call this doodling drama? Well... Let me explain.
Drawing- *sucks in* Okay so I use to like to draw manga and anime and stuff and then this summer I just stopped drawing, IDK why, and then I was like "Oh I'm never going to draw again!" just because...well once again IDK...So then I went a few months without drawing AT ALL, and then all of a sudden I became a DC addict and I couldn't get enough of it! Srsly! O_o So now I draw DC stuff, and since it's the complete and utter opposite of what I was drawing before, I'm learning stuff all over again. Thankfully I have a bunch of how to draw books that I never read till now. Also, my step dad is a real comic book fan so... he has lots of stuff.

I know I know "You can't be good at something unless you do it every day and blah blah blah!" I never said I was good. Anyways, I suppose... I draw more of the cartoony style from the Unlimited JLA series. But I'm also learning how to draw the more realistic ones as well. It's hard. How many muscles do these guys need to have? Geez! Well, in case you didn't know, this is what manga -the stuff I use to draw- looks like:

Yeah, see the difference?! Okay well anyways, now you see that I have a bit of a problem.
Problem: Manga is made of langly stick like people with huge, unrealistic faces and comic book styles have people with exaggerated muscles... goodie.

So, I did the smart thing, and I went to the books. I studied the muscles and bone structures. And so far I'm doing pretty well. I'm only having trouble with the men's hips and legs, and both gender's heads... I've seen them drawn a billion times but it still just never turns out right. Well, at least I'm trying. I don't draw every day, but I'm glad I got back into it. It's a good way to express myself.

Oh but I've had help with anatomy before... hm let me think who was it again? Oh yes. My sensei Rob and Tom. These two are awesome former Disney artists who are just... well they're just awesome really. I was their apprentice for awhile. Unfortunately I was stuck in the world of anime and such, and therefore probably did not accept some of the stuff they taught me. But I do remember a lot of helpful stuff that I can actually use now that I'm trying to draw. I'm sure if they read this they're gonna freak and be like- SHE STOPPED DRAWING? WHAT?! SHE STOPPED DRAWING MANGA?! WHAT WHAT WHAT?
Or something like that. Yeah I have some good memories with them... and then some really not so good extremely embarrassing memories I'd rather not share. lawlz.
( SO HERE'S A SHOUT OUT TO YOU GUYS!)

Anyways. I'm hesitant wether to actually post this or not, but I guess I will. I actually commented on T&R's blog and that's what reminded me to do this. I'm sick today so I have time to pretty much do anything. Except count to ten million...

Change is coming...

   Well, it's been a wonderful Halloween.  Lots of candy, friends, and good times.  The elections, however, have been a bit of a letdown.  To tell the truth, I couldn't vote, so I won't complain that McCain didn't win.  I'm really not that mad that Obama is going to be president.  I'm just scared. 

   I don't want this country to go into a downward spiral... but I know it will.  Not necessarily because of Obama, but someone is gonna do something stupid, and it'll affect me, my children, my children's children, and perhaps even their children.  But then I just remember that God is still God and he is working miracles every day.  I don't know, maybe a change might be nice. 

(Although why would you want to change the greatest country on earth?  Hopefully it's for the better. (:  )
